LoLA Spooky Spiders and Scary Skulls Art Box

What is the LoLA Spooky Spiders and Scary Skulls Box?

Taking inspiration for the art projects in this art box, we take a look at Odilon Redon’s smiling spiders, at Yayoi Kusama’s dotty pumpkins and at Louise Bourgeois’s woven spiders’ webs. Mexicans have a similar festival at about the same time each year which they call the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). The Mexican artist Frida Kahlo particularly liked this celebration, and we also look at her work to inspire us for all things scary skulls!
    • A booklet introducing the theme, with information about artists, art styles and techniques.
    • Clear instructions on art projects celebrating Halloween, appropriate for children of any age (4+ years)
    • Includes LoLA book recommendations for further reading.
    • This box includes a Gouache paint set, a paint-brush, a black marker, googly eye stickers, natural yarn, templates, black and water-colour paper
